Colin McGinn wonders, “Why are believers so convinced there is only one God?”
I didn’t find his discussion terribly insightful, but hit the comments link and follow the thread with commenter Theophilus.
This, I think, is a serious omission: that many philosophical theists have thought, for various reasons, that it is impossible (contradictory) that there be more than one god. And McGinn of course dismisses any suggestion that monotheism could be known via divine revelation.
